Subject: [CR]Nervex Lugs... BB and Fork Crown Fan

All,

Not true in my experience, I've got an old one that is great and my 2001 Eisentraut has one beefy Nervex Pro BB that couldn't be nicer or stiffer. Several months back there were several threads that touched on why the Nervex BBs weren't always used with the lug sets, my take on what was said was that availability (lack thereof) was a key reason. Like many of the old frame building supplies, quality did vary, but overall the ones I've seen are great. I'd encourage Jimmy to go for it, can anyone give him a source??? I know John Barron had a full set up until recently, but now who?

As far as the fork crown, I believe it's the NICEST ever made. Here's the link to my frameset:

Good luck. While lugs aren't too hard to find shells and crowns are. And I don't think you'll be too happy with the BB stiffness if you use a Nervex shell. Phil Brown Off to pound nails in NoHo, Ca
