One of my Campy GS Brake calipers has developed a curious problem. The post that secures the cable and runs through the simple steel QR mechanism is a straightforward friction press fit arrangement (I hope this descriptrion makes sense to peuple--it will if you have the part in front of you). I've never intentionally disassembled it, but when I went to get that particular bike out this spring, somehow I had knocked the post loose (which is to say, knocked it out of the QR). It was easy to press back into place (probably too easy), but now it pops out whenever I release the cable tension (like by squeezing the calipers closed to make it easier to dial the barrel adjuster). Has anybody aver had this happen, and can anyone think of a solution? I don't think it's likely to pop out while riding, because the cable tension seems to hold it in place, but I'm not keen to disprove this theory in a race.
