Subject: [CR]Pre-Cirque For Sale and Wanted

Following are some of the items I'll have for sale at Cirque. These items will only be available only at the Cirque, so please don't ask to purchase prior. What doesn't sell at Cirque will most likely be available afterward. Also listed are some little things I'm looking for.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend.

Wayne Bingham Falls Church, VA

1. 1980 Colnago Super. This is the bike I posted questions about before I actually got to see it. When I finally met the owner (original) and saw the bike, I was so impressed I struck a deal on the spot. The bike was purchased in Seattle in 1981 and was assembled per the owner's spec. I would guess that the bike has less than 1000 miles on it. The frame is pristine. Almost perfect. A couple items have been changed out, it's mostly N-Rec with a few S-Rec bits, and the bike originally had two sets of wheels, clinchers and tubulars. The tubies had already been sold and I'm keeping the clinchers for another project, but I'm including an appropriate set of tubulars. Particulars as follows:

58 cm ST with 57 cm TT (c-c). Rec/N-Rec crank set, derailleurs, shifters, BB, brake set (with almost perfect "World Logo" hood covers). S-Rec HS and seat post. Colnago-badged black suede saddle. Cinelli "new" logo 1A stem and 66/40 bars. Wheel set is circa-'73, Rec Hubs (but with later, curved skewers) laced to Ambrosio rims with Clement Criteriums. $1100 (obo - you'll understand when you see it).

2. 1980/83 (?) Raleigh Superbe. Unusual Japanese built Raleigh with a full Suntour Superbe group. Gold over chrome finish (so it kind of looks gold plated). Tange Champion No. 1 tubing. 58 cm ST with 56cm TT (c-c). Very good overall condition. This bike is as originally equipped and Superbe group even includes the stem! The only things not original are cables/housing, hood covers (Dia-Comp), tires and toe straps. The only other oddity is that the front rim is a Fiamme Red Label and the rear, while looking the same, has no label and no eyelets. $850 (obo).

3. Eddy Merckx Panasonic Team Issue. Probably '85 or '86, because it's just like what Robert Millar rode around that time (blue/white). Same as a Corsa Extra without the label, but with number tab braze-on. Columbus SLX. Not a complete bike. Frame and some C-Rec parts, including HS, BB, crank set, shifters, seat post and hubs laced to Omega Strada rims (rims are probably toast). The frame has lots of nicks and scratches, but no dents or damage. Parts are scruffy but serviceable. Great project. $385 (obo).

4. Greg Lemond (frame only). Probably '90-ish. This is one of the Italian-built early Lemond frames. 54 cm ST with 55 cm TT (c-c). Unknown tubing but it has Columbus drop-outs. Deep purple (almost looks black) with gold lug outlines. Engraved seat stay caps and brake bridge. Internal TT cable routing. Half-chrome stays and chrome lower fork legs. Some paint chipping, nothing major. Very good condition. $325 (obo).

5. Gardin (frame only). '90. 59 cm ST with 57 cm TT (c-c). Oria tubing, lugged construction, straight fork. Red. Engraved seat stay caps. Built in Canada. Very good condition. Great for a fixed gear, commuter, etc. $225 (obo).

6. Miele full-chrome Columbus steel fork with 160 mm steerer. $30.

Lots of other bits and pieces.

Some things I need:

1. Set of Galli gum hoods. 2. One Suntour Superbe crank arm dust cap. 3. One pair of red toe straps. Not picky. 4. One set of barrel adjusters for a set of Weinman brake calipers. Must look like Campy Record 'cause those fit perfectly.
