Titanium cages on TA pedals don't make sense to me. Aluminum is lighter, and if the cages get worn from cleats, the front left plate can be swapped with the rear right and front right with the rear left. This is because the flip up taps are removeable and the front plates have pins to guide the toe straps. Then when all the plates are worn, you can buy new ones from TA.

Thank you to everyone for your help. I found a set of silver alloy cages, weighed them on my postal scale, and they were the same weight as the anodized ones, verdict = aluminum. However ... the design of these cages is so simple, I bet some nice cages could be cut out of a sheet of titanium with a jewelers saw (assuming titanium cuts easily that way). Thanks again !
