Subject: [CR]Advice needed on applying waterslide transfers

Folks:

It has been many years since I applied a waterslide transfer (called 'em decals then) and then it was to a model car kit with glue smeared on the windshield.

I purchased waterslide Reynolds transfers from Ray Etherton at the Cirque and need some advice on how to mount them. Does one soak them briefly in a bowl with warm water and simply slide them onto the tubing? Prep tubing first by a swipe with alcohol to remove any grease? After drying is there a simple way to clearcoat with something brush applied so as not to run onto the surrounding paint and to protect these rather delicate items?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
