I recently acquired a T.A. Tevano crankset-a 144 Campag style crank-from Chris Beyer (thanks, Chris!). It has a nice little fillet radius in the arm/spider intersect area. Perhaps the French were paying attention (or maybe Chris did this). Branford Bike (CT) sold a lot of Palettis in the 80's. I bought a "Classic" as a scratch n' dent special at a knockdown price to race after bending a Mercian Pro in a crit incident. It ended up being one of my favorite bikes-I'm not sure why, it was just "right". It had some nice details, like double taper stays slightly flattened to an oval section and dropouts that were "pointed" into the forks/stays. BB shell and seatstay plugs were as the ebay bike. I'd agree that the decals on that bike aren't correct, or at least not like any I've seen. Paletti used a playing card motif in their logo, prominent on the headtube. A friend of mine (one Alan Rubenoff) still rides the bike and likes it very much.
