Dear Friend and Neighbor,
Every year Tommys Bike and Fitness, located in downtown Torrington, CT, hosts the Tour de Torrington. The Tour de Torrington is a charity bike ride and walk for the American Cancer Society. I participated in the 30-mile bike ride last year during the summer and will ride in the 50-mile ride this year. It takes place at Coe Park, Torrington, on August 4, 2002.
This year has brought 16,100 new cases of cancer to Connecticuts citizens. In addition, 555,500 American are expected to die of cancer this year, at least 1,500 people a day. All proceeds from the Tour de Torrington go directly to the American Cancer Society, and aid in research programs, counseling and transportation for the patients.
Please help by supporting and sponsoring me in the 13th annual Tour de Torrington. Any contribution is significant.
