There were an awful lot of other rear derailleurs with the same top side cable entry as the Campagnolo derailleurs. Whether the cable housing stop was on top or bottom of the chainstay, the difference in the curve of the housing is pretty insignificant.

My fav is when the brazed on cable stop (some call 'em "Diver Dans" because they look like little underwater diving helmets) is at the 4 or 5 o'clock position on the chainstay.
