Subject: [CR]Peugeot PFN10E Super Vitus???

Hey guys, this bike belongs to a kid whose dad passed away when he was 6. He has been asking about it and wondering if it was a good rig. I am certain it is and have tentatively identified it as a Peugeot PFN10E Super Vitus. I'm more preoccupied with Japanese lightweights but found this to be an intriguing bike. Can anyone tell me if I am wrong or positively ID the model?

I think it is VC for the kid to have his dad's ride, photo and jersey. He is 17 and already has a healthy respect for the old stuff. The Jersey in the picture is wool; he has it framed and displayed in his room. Makes me sentimental. First picture is from 1983 and probably does not reflect current condition (California bike so rust is no issue). Second image is the cool drilled rings on Stronglight cranks. I think.

Front fork is chromed, rear drops and stays are painted, front badge reads Super Vitus (172 ?) crank arms appear to be Stronglight but I really do not know as the French always confuse me. Rims are for sew-ups.

If this bike were the same condition as pictured, how much of a collectible would it be? I think the kid's got a gem - a real nice item to remember his dad by.
