I forgot to also say that Campy long ago destroyed the molds for all vintage equipment and would incurr extra costs to recreate the rubber hood originals.
I wonder if destroying original molds was their way of burning a bridge with the past because there was such a surplus of Campy NR/SR equipment in the mid 1980s?
This inventory surplus and lack of sales supposedly forced Campy to drop the NR/SR line, trash existing surplus inventory, and come out with multiple new product groups.
