good topic and a bit light-hearted. which this list needs sometimes. but i am sure someone will complain it does not fit the "rules" so i will list only stuff found when riding a vintage bicycle..... the best find, well, either it was that guiness neon light that works, the Thermaster Deluxe Portable Refridgerator(a cooler from the 50's) the cd case full of music i actually listen to; carly simon, ella fitzgerald, the grateful dead, the beatles, the original broadway cast recordings from les miserables, aretha franklin, james taylor, steely dan, cole porter, nat king cole, and the soundtrack from oklahoma. i am serious, i still have the same cds in that case right here in front of me. the 50's furniture in the back of the shop in front of the video player was also a ride find but may not count as we had to go back with the car later to gather it up. i have never figured out how to pack a couch in that carradice no matter how much grant says to will hold... and yes, i am also watching for that small brown paparbag full of $$$$ one day i found one of those great old schwinn floor pumps(which is still in use at the shop) and tied it to my (eek, how can you use one of those on a vintage ride) camelbak. there were several passersby who wondered if i had
ever heard of a framepump.
