Subject: [CR]Road Finds

I've found a Campy/Stronglight Cilo, a ton of old ten speeds, bmx and kid's bike which I haul to my LBS who donates them to the needy, tools, a paper bag full of old ties, varous road kill including an owl, a rattler, and a cow. My best find was on an early morning winter commute along the canal. I found a little terrier who had fallen or was thrown in the water and had somehow made it to one of the recessed steps along the side of the canal. She was too little to make it to the next step and was in cold water to her stomach. She was shaking all over. I hauled her out, held her in my right arm, and negotiated Phoenix morning traffic with my left hand. She just held on. At school my students cleaned and fed her. She took a big dump in the middle of my classroom, which unfortunately wasn't a first. School nurse adopted her and she lives on.....
