Yes, I know some purists will scream about this, but I'm merely

looking to make one of these old bikes rideable for my daughter.

She's taken a fancy to the women's model.

Ed,

I have black painted Westwood style rims on hand (dutch origin?) in 28 inch; good tyres too. 36 hole only. Cost is $36.00 per rim plus shipping.

The paint will rub off sooner or later with caliper brakes. These are used by Pashley on a model with hub brakes after their rod brake supply was exhausted. It must be noted the hub brakes work much better than rods.

Let me know if I can help.
