Hmmm. Let's see....

The seller of the 1983 version (with original paint?) bought the '70s version, even though it was recently repainted, which lowers its "collectability." Coincidence? I think not!

This seems to reinforce and help prove exactly what many have recently been saying IMO.

That said, there is certainly nothing "wrong" with either frame. They're just different. Heck, you could collect one from each year that Masi produced them....

When we are collecting / reliving our "glory days," year and location of manufacture (among a thousand other details) matter.

The LBS would appear not to be a font of collectible Masi knowledge (again, IMO...).
