Exactly.

There wasn't any "gruppo box" that gruppos came in, to my knowledge anyway. You just pulled parts and mixed-and-matched until you got what you wanted. The 1982 Campy catalog refers to "complete gruppos," whereas the 1974 #17 catalog calls them simply "groups," so even Campy's idea of what to call them was evolving.
