If I ever meet a Campagnolo, I will have no problem calling him by his proper name. Referring to bikes, I'm just too lazy. The use of 'groupo' or 'grouppo' also irk me, but nowhere near as much as the use of 'campy'. Campagnolo, further to being a company respected throughout the world is also a family name, would you like to be called Bulgy? Furthermore the 'g' combines with the 'n' to give a 'nyee' sound in Italian.
