I just returned from there (my old home area, "Tidewater" Virginia) and for vintage appeal, the pickings are slim indeed... I was however pleased to discover a small specialty shop named Cycle Classics. Gordon Freedman, the main man, arrives sometime in the early afternoon, so call first. I missed him myself but did see a number of neat bikes including a very interesting 1950s-60s (?) Olmo, an early Paramount track bike, some cool antique and balloon tired bikes...... and I forget what else. This shop is at 427 High Street (beside the old movie theater) in downtown Portsmouth, telephone 757-393-4498.
