Miche is based in the Italian province of Treviso, just outside the town of Conegliano, in the land of Prosecco wine! The company is owned by the Michelin (pronounced Mee-kay-lean and not like the tire maker) family and originally traded under the Michelin name. Later it was shortened to Miche (Mee-kay). They have produced both bicycles and components. Nowadays they only produce components, many of which are frequently sold with other names on them (they work as subcontractors). A long time ago, one of the branches of the family was either forced out or left and set up the rival Ciclo Piave, which still exists (I know this because I have Ciclo Piave with Campagnolo Cambio Corsa and my wife has 1994 bike from them. On the headtube badge of my bike it says Fa Michelin, S. Lucia, TV). They are just up the road from Modolo. Their website is: http://www.miche.it/ The English text is quaint at best, but will give you a look at some of their possibilities. Their components are generally acceptable, especially when sold with their own name on them. In Italy, you will see many small framebuilders get personalized components made for them by Miche.
