from our buddy Brandon:

"Anyway, what's the story with the Huret Duopar? I know there were three versions, alloy and titanium, all alloy, and alloy and steel. What are peoples opinions on these versions shifting, merits, and quality? Also what's the current market for these things these days?"

my 2 cents worth: I'm waiting to find out myself. I bought a steel Duopar some time ago, but haven't tried it yet. It didn't come with a hanger..... will it fit on a "normal" dropout, or is there some special Huret gadget required? This was mentioned a long time ago, if I recall correctly. Will I need some special arrangement to mount this on a conventional (i.e. non-French) bike? In any event, it certainly seems like a nicer means of achieving a floating cage than SunTour's Mountech. (yeah, I have a Mountech in my parts box too <sigh>)
