A couple of other notes on the bolts: 1) The C and Victory/Athena/Chorus... bolts were not the same. 2) later C-rec bolts were 1.25mm thread instead of 1mm. After twenty years of using the same thread, since the first 1-bolt SR post, they decided to change it along with the threading on the upper clamp. The newer bolt is no chromed, but looks like it is galvanized (though it is something slightly tougher than zinc). Tom Dalton Bethlehem, PA GPVB1@cs.com wrote: All:

The allen-head seatpost fixing bolt (not to be confused with the seatpost binder bolt...!) was introduced with the C-Record/Triomphe/Victory gruppos in 1985 or so. After that, the newer bolt was promoted (at least by some Disributors/Resellers such as United Bicycle Supply / Loose Screws - not sure if Campagnolo condoned it) as a factory-spec. replacement for the 13 mm hexhead bolt, so some were replaced that way. Not a true replacement part IMHO, but that's how it was represented at the time.
