Last year I purchased a very original, very correct, very unique BSA. I have been trying to determine if another exists and maybe you can help, here's the description:

1914 BSA Path Racer, 40-45% original black enamel with 2 color accent pinstriping, 1/2 inch pitch BSA chain (each link has the cross rifles stamp, alloy "aero" 26" metal rims, complete BSA lug set with lightweight tubing, the complete path racer with tires weighs 20 lbs or less. original Brooks saddle, chrome rear chain and fork stays (7" from rear axle on both sides) Most components are stamped with the Birmingham Small Arms "cross rifles" BSA hubs front and rear with oil caps, BSA chain ring, BSA pedals and (???unmarked) toe clips. BSA Headset, one piece "brazed" stem and drop bars.

The bicycle is a true survivor. It was previously owned by a Phoenix based collector who purchased the Path Racer from an estate sale in Duluth Minnesota. This bicycle was chained to the rear wall inside the lower level of a carriage house for over 50 years (I have the chain with a canvas jacket and lock to prove the story). The reason why this is important however will soon be revealed. Above the 1914 Path racer on a shelf was the original "intact" BSA cycle catalog for the year 1914 to authenticate the "controversial" and unique features.

I would like to discuss with other vintage owners whether similar features are on their cycles, whether they have ever seen a Path Racer in a museum (and where I can).

Thanks for the time you have taken to read this summary, I believe this is a one of a very few. Pls email questions.
