CR persons,

I've been following much of the activities on the list from a distance of about two days behind. The volume of mail is just above where I can keep up on account of my having a LOT of work to do. The Larz is figuring in to this typically extra busy time. There are a few points I'd like to touch upon that have come up this past week. As soon as I get some sleep (it's now 1 a.m.ish and I got up at 6a.m. to go on a ride with some vintage friends after comming in from a gig at 3a.m.) I would like to dip my toe in just a little bit.

I saw some very nice vintage iron over the weekend; new things appear every time we get together. Sometimes even more amazing than the bikes themselves are the stories attached to them and how the current owner came to be such. One thing for certain; some people have a "gift" for locating and liberating beautiful bikes. I believe I stood in the presence of at least 3 masters very recently. Their fruits are delicious as they dangle before us. My, how the brilliant California sun did justice to the paint and chrome! Enough teasing. Sleep now, blab later.

Brian "lobsterboy" Baylis La Mesa, CA My favorite quote from the day, commenting on the magical powers of the bicycle locators; " (Unnamed Master) could find the only vintage bike on Pluto". And it's true, I'm here to tell 'ya!
