W.(Bill) Hurlow never worked for Les Ephgrave, however they worked together at Claud Butlers for a few months before Bill was called up for the War in about 1940.

When Les started in his own name he was assisted in the frame building by Fred Greaves but by the mid 1950's he was building all the frames himself.

Les's brother Norman worked with him in the very early years, but didn't build any frames, before emigrating to Australia where he died in 1980.

Les died naturally of cancer in 1969, he didn't commit suicide.

These facts were told to me by Roger Chamberlain who knew Les personally and who is still in regular contact with Bill Hurlow.
