The Carrera team ran from the the early 80's (I believe 84) to the late 90's (I believe until Pantani left in the 1997 season.) The main riders who could have worn the maillot jaune of the tour de France are:
Giovanni Battaglin in 1984 Stephen Roche in either 86 or 87 Claudio Chiappucci in the 1985 to 1996 period Marco Pantani in the 1992 to 1996 period
I can't imagine any of these riders wearing a wool jersey with the Carrera Vagabond applied label as seen in the mentioned Giro jersey auction. This was more than likely a commemorative jersey that came out when Chiappucci was the most popular cyclist in Italy. If the jersey in the shop you know is wool, and is truly the 'ral' thing, it could perhaps have belonged to Roche.
