I like Nashbar Cotton/Lycra shorts. I think they may still be available. After several years of making them with elastic waistbands, they returned to using a drawstring, which I like better, about 1 1/2 years ago, so I stocked up. The cotton has just enough lycra for durability and to hold shape, but the cotton is cool and not shiny like all-lycra. One would think that whoever makes them for Nashbar would supply them thru other channels, but I've never found them elsewhere.
