Subject: [CR]Top-Mount Shifter Question

I am planning for the outfitting of my newly refinished '83 3Rensho frame, and contemplating my shifter options. The frame has the top-of-the-downtube braze-on for the typical early 80's "aero" shifter mount. I'd like to outfit the bike with mostly Suntour Superbe Pro components, as I have mostly everything I need. I have a set of the Suntour Symetric shifters, and also a set of Dura Ace six speed indexed shifters that are designed for this type mount, but I'd really like to use some conventional-mount Superbe Pro shifters I have instead. My question is, was there ever a device that mounted to the top-mount braze-on (essentially a small block with a threaded hole in the top) that would accept conventional friction shift levers? Anyone ever seen such a device? If they exist, does anyone know where I might find one?

All thoughts and suggestions welcomed.
