Thanks to all who replied to my earlier post about my Speciale Corsa, the depth of knowledge here frequently leaves me astounded.
To the listmember who asked what the fender BOs look like, picture the eyelet bosses on a eyeletted Campy DO with one side machined to fit the stay bridges. Even the thread is the same (Campy toeclip bolts thread right in).
And to the writer who asked what the 531 decal says, it is pretty much gone, but it appears to me to have the 531 horizontal rather than diagonally on the decal. If memory serves, this indicates the main tubes only as 531.
A couple of further questions:
While chasing the spiders off to more closely examine the stay BOs, I noticed an upside down "R" on the back of the BB between the chainstays. Anyone know what that might signify?
And lastly (for now), What is the difference between the Speciale Corsa and Super Corsa models? My Speciale Corsa seems pretty much identical to the Super Corsas of the period, perhaps fender BOs notwithstanding.
