Back in the USSR, when I was growing up, my parents bought me a 10-speed made in Kharkov at the local state cycling factory, imaginatively named Kharkov Bicycle Factory. I had it from age 10 to 14 (until 1977). It was by far the fanciest bike on the block, but for the life of me I don't remember the model name. All the parts were also made at the KBF. The city had a track, where once in a while I saw local and regional races and I seem to remember some riders on Italian bikes there, but I don't remember those Italian bikes. For some reason I think that some frames started with the letter "R" and those circa '80s Sannino frames faintly ring a bell. That Soviet bike on eBay Greg Parker referred to was made at Kharkov Bicycle Factory -- I remember that listing. To boot, the bike was my size, but there was no more room in the stable... It had a combination of Favorit parts and Campy NR-copy cranks, ders, etc., but with Cyrillic engraving! It went for about $175 for the whole bike. Stupid me missed the end of the auction. It was way cool IMO - probably the only one in North America of its kind, but probably about as usable as a Russian camera - hit or miss. Can't remember the brand.....

Is the seller a CR member? If so, can you refresh my memory?
