There's really no need to go that far unless the pitting is REALLY bad. Get course and fine valve grinding compound, toothpaste, a sack full of the right bearings, a drill and some time. Start by packing the bearings with some grease and the course compound. Now attach the drill to the axle and run it slow. After a few minutes clean out the hubs and see if you have a close to uniform surface, if not repack with grease and course again and repeat. Once you have a close to uniform surface repeat the process with the fine valve grinding compound. Once you feel you're "almost there" use the toothpaste. Use new bearings every time you repack and repack often. enjoy, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives SB, CA --
