Subject: [CR]Teledyne Titan finish question...

Man is this frame light! Approx 4 pounds in weight without components although I will soon replace the Titanium suicide fork with a safer 531 from Raleigh...

Question: Were Teledyne Titan frames delivered bare metal without any protective finish? It does have a few of the OEM adhesive decals remaining and appears original.

The frame appears to have a gum metal color - is steel wool advised to cleanup the frame or is a dull gray the "natural color"? This cleanup effort may help me see any cracks in joints.

I am likely going to get a buddy to X-Ray the joints to look for any cracks in the welds. He works at a jet engine manufacturer and they have to test turbine blades before commercial release. Hmmmm pondering the possibilities....
