I have the exact same cup. It was a gift to me back in the 1970's when I was racing bicycles from my parents. Mine says......MADE IN U.S.A. PAT'D FEB.23.97

I suspect these were real common in the early 1900's, but less so now.

Here is a link to an old collapsible cup which was patented in 1907, and made --who knows when. It is specifically for cyclists, and can be carried in a shirt pocket while one pedals about.
