After Mark's earlier question about the mixte rims, I wrote and have received a note back from the vendor of the rims confirming that the rims in question are not the mixte model that worked with either tubular or clinchers. They are the more common 'regular' rims. They would make a great restoration rim for late 70's or early 80's.

Not too long ago, somebody was looking for some silver coloured rims for rebuilding their older bike. They were looking for some Mod. E rims. There is presently a pair of NOS Super Champion rims for sale in Australia on ebay. They are not drawing any bids yet and could go very cheap. Shipping from Australia would be less than US $20. Take a look if you want. The model in question is a bit wider than the mod. E but similar vintage.
