This is slightly out of period, but this is the best place for help I am restoring a Steel Saronni bike that come with Shimano 105 6 speed - mid 80's bike. I am going to install Campy components - Super Record. My problem is that the fork has been cut to accept the 105 headset and has a stack height of about 33 - 34 mm. My steel campy headset and my campy aluminium headset have a stack height greater than the Shimano 105. Will the stack height reduce if I put in loose balls ?
