This might be in the "too practical to be cool" category, but I would find the lowest stack-height Asian-made headset (Superbe Pro or a Tange unit) that has a Campy-like shape and call it good. There are generic Taiwanese headsets with a height around 33mm. I wouldn't butcher a frame out of
component vanity.
