Subject: [CR]serial number on peugeot track frame

Hello all, my name is Ken Wood and I hail from Port Charlotte, FL.

I purchased a Peugeot track bike a couple months ago with the intention of using it to ride to work. After trying to replace the narrow Sakae bars that came on the bike with a pair of Cinelli 66-40's, I was rudely reminded that eventhough it was a Cinelli (old logo) stem, the French liked to do their own thing. To make a long story short, the more I looked around, the more I realized that the bike I had purchased was a bit older than I had originally thought. I would like to pinpoint the year of production and restore it. At this point, I think it is late 60's to early 70'2 vintage based on the decals and the Campy Record Pista groupo. I was able to locate a serial number on the left rear dropout; it is either 1 0 or 1 6. Should there be more numbers and/or letters? If anyone can shed some light on this for me, or direct me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative
