I have a photocopy of a Raleigh catalogue page that was sent to me a few years ago. I do not know the exact year of publication, but would put it in the early 50s based upon the inclusion of the Raleigh Clubman. It would appear also to be an American catalogue, e.g. the spelling "tires" rather than "tyres." The Raleigh Lenton Tourist is shown and its specification is listed:

Model 29 Gent's only 21" & 23" frame

FRAME: Reynolds 531 tubing, all brazed up. WHEELS: 26" x 1-1/4" light alloy rims. TIRES: Dunlop Sprite. Hockey stick chainguard. CRANKS: fluted. PEDALS: rubber alloy. HANDLEBAR: comfort flat, alloy. BRAKES: alloy caliper front and rear with hooded levers. [This is not in accord with the accompanying photo, which shows an unhooded lever of a sort made for North Road style handlebars, though it very well may be different from that used on the Raleigh Sports]. SADDLE: Brooks B-66. FITTINGS: tools, large touring bag, pump, reflector. LAMP BRACKET: head fitting. MUDGUARDS: lightweight celluloid GEARS: Sturmey-Archer AW 3-speed. FINISH: polychromatic olive green with white lining. Available with or without self-generating Dynohub.
