If you feel the need to nit pick you should look directly at Riv's web page. http://www.rivendellbicycles.com/html/about.html "Sometimes people hear "classical" or "traditional" in the context of bicycles. . .(SNIP). . . We just like to ride bikes, and are more influenced by the pure, practical, and beautiful design ethics of the '70s to late'80s." Nowhere on their site can I find them saying anything about being a classic bike maker, but they do talk a lot about being influnced and inspired by the "classic" designs. Personally I don't see anything after the 60's as classic.
