Ok, I'll bite. I am not a newbie, nor am I new to bicycle mechanics or products, since I have been one full time since 1973. But...... <snip>

There will always
>been a new member who needs to ID a Masi or know the date of a Campy crank
>with an 11 in a box.

<snip>

But what I need to ID is a Campagnolo Gran Sport crankset NOS in box that has the number (3) stamped on the arms. As in 170 STRADA (3) chainrings are 52 42

What date would this crankset be and approximate value?

I want to get the most $ value since I have been a bike mechanic and you all know we don't make much money and we spend it all on our toys. many of which are classic bikes such as 72 and 74 schwinn paramount, 1980 Sarronni and others.
