Oh - this isn't what I mean by a twin-plate at all. This Masi piece is certainly beautiful but it looks to me like a heavily machined, filed and drilled standard flat fork crown. When I think of twin-plate fork crowns I'm thinking of something like http://www.classicrendezvous.com/British/Hetch_MOcrwn.htm albeit, with much simpler side plates.
