The ABCE will soon be upon us and you're all invited. This year it's on Sunday, September 22. The ABCE is in it's third year and it's a cycling event NOT about riding but about the Spirit of English Cycling. Odd bikes, club bikes, plus fours, saddle bags, and door prizes are some of the sights plus this is the only cycling event I know of that not only welcomes rain but rain actually makes it more authentic. As mentioned on the web site, there will be an amazing rest stop if you choose to ride to the event courtesy of my friends Ron and Stephanie. After our egos are suitably self-inflated, we're off to Barley Johns for overly-chilled English beer. If you do not have an english bicycle, (what??) I have a few loaners.
