My understanding is that such a thing is available, however, consider wether the modern shoes you want to use would work well with toe clips/straps. Most modern shoes have buckles, velcro straps, etc. that might seriously hinder ingress, if not egress. My old Carnacs would have been a disaster. Duegi is still making a high quality shoe for trackies. Aestheticly, it's a bit much for me (white). For whatever reason, I made the switch back to toeclips/straps and traditional (albeit bolt-on plastic) cleats this past spring (after using Look exclusively since '84) using Detto 2000 shoes. It has been a neat exercise in rediscovering the "old ways"- all the bending of the clips, filing the cleats slightly to get a bit of float, etc. I have no regrets, although alloy cages are noisy-I much prefer chrome steel. T.A alloy cages,as well as being noisy, wear out REAL fast. IMO, the Campagnolo 1037/1038 pedals are one of the greatest all time components.
