Greg, all my skill and versatility aside, I'm not so different from you. Same height, and like 175 or 177.5 on the road. Only times I've ridden 185 I was on those bikes we don't talk about. Spun out enough miles on 'em to know they didn't kill my knees though. That may be a genetics/luck thing, YMMV.
