Never heard of Harry Hall! Shame on you. Harry was one of the foremost race mechanics in the UK and was mechanic to the English team on that fateful TDF that cost Tom Simpson his life. Harry had a shop in Manchester which was a haven for the ace bike riders of the 70's. He built frames for Robert Miller and Paul Sherwen as amateurs, and his frames were much in demand. Sadly his City Centre shop was a casualty of an IRA city centre bomb. He still has a shop I believe now on the outskirts of Manchester.
