These are the pads I used to replace the Mafac pads in the Mafac holders (Campy 99 and earlier version): http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/brakeshoes.html#campagnolo only in black.

As per my post of yesterday I used an exacto knife to trim the part that overhung the holder itself and reinstalled. So they now fit inside the holder as the original 4 dot mafac pads did. No howl. No peep. Smooth. Locks up the rear wheel - no sweat if youre arent careful. Dual pivot performance from a centerpull?

You can indeed use the Kool Stop Canti pads but at a price to the original look of the Mafac brake. This is a nice compromise. Inexpensive enough and easy to get.
