Eric,

I just took a second look (and read the description) and realized the decal on the down tube is not the original decal. As it says, it is a repaint which explains the white trim. What I noticed is that the original down tube decals from Italy will have the lettering in the "Masi" in white ink and the words "Gran Criterium" in yellow. These decals were not used as a rule in Carlsbad. Almost all original Carlsbad DT decals were "Masi" in yellow and the GC in white. That decal is white in both places which indicates a later version of that decal, not the original.

I suppose I should always look twice AND read the details before I respond. I have also found that the only way to be 100% positive when looking at these things is to see it in person. I'm sure in person I wouls also notice the paint is Imron as opposed to the original PPG industrial enamel.
