Hi Aldo and gang,

I've seen the Challenger tires here in Singapore as well. According to the LBS they are made by a new setup in Thailand, not the guys making Vittorias.

The ones I've seen show the same lack of latex on the sidewalls too, and that can't be a good thing if they are ridden in wet weather. But they're nice and supple in the hand and should roll very nicely indeed.

Like Mike Kone at Bicycle Classics said, it'd be a good idea to brush some latex onto the sidewalls before you start using them.

TUFO sealant seems suitable. Anyone knows what that's actually made of? I know it has latex in it but not sure what other stuff is in there.

There are track and other road models. All seem nice and soft but all have under-latexed sidewalls.

If anyone is interested, I can get the Paris-Roubaix ones in bulk for about $45 each. It'll take about 1 month or so to order.

sincerely, mandu, purveyor of fine TUFO tubulars, in sunny Singapore
