Subject: RE: [CR]Campy NR Max Gear

I am currently set up with a Campy NR 36/44/53 triple crankset and a 14-28t rear cluster and still have a NR rear derailleur! I think the 28t rear cog is about max and even there chain length is very critical. I think the NR deraileur was originally advertized as being capable of handling a 12-30 rear cluster but I know I am maxed out at 28. I would love to buy a Campy Rally so that I could feel a bit less nervous with the triple crankset. Right now I am limited to about a 53/14-18 combination before the chain get uncomfortably tight. On the other end anything outside a 36/18-28 range get a bit sloppy. It shifts great as long as you avoid these "danger zones". Anyone have a surplus Rally for sale?

What is the largest rear cog that I can accomodate with a Campy NR rear der? (I could upgrade to a SR if that would help - but i don't think so) I've got a Campy SR 52/42 crankset upfront so I can't get to a 39 very easily.
