For those of you who are on the West Coast and near the SF Bay Area.
There is a sign painter in San Jose Ca, who goes by the name of Rich or Richard!!........Just not sure on the last name!! Anyway, he is also a cyclist!....His ride is a user and not a show piece!!...He used to do a lot of pinstripping and I believe box lining type stuff on Ballooners, mainly repro Schwinn wizards. I've seen him doing some of his work and he made pinstipping rims look easy!!........Free hand all the way!!
He's also into midget cars powered by motorcycle motors. So if you don't find him painting you'll find him on his bike or at the track!! But since living in Holland.........The last I've seen of him was 10 years ago!!
Or check out a guy who does Low rider type stuff!! These guys are into show and they do some ''GREAT'' work!!........I know a few of these guys and they started in High school!! They used to pratice on all types of bikes trash and good, you name it and they stuck paint to it!!..........And they used to sell their work to me for $ 15.- a pop!!....Painted and pinstripped!
Hey Baron you want to give me $ 15.-!!...Of course they charge a lot more now!!
