hmm.. this really surprises me, 14/28 has been my preferred freewheel for decades. I present the evidence. I believe the rings here are oldstyle 44/52, but I know I've run it on steel cranked bikes as well, but don't have anything handy to look at. Shorten the chain as much as possible to run on the 28/52, to keep the derailler from getting ripped off, though you wouldn't want to ride that gear, but
