So Brandon, are you implying that there's a tolerance of plus or minus three years? Is this a historical tolerance or is it footnoted somewhere? If you apply a three year tolerance, 1982 still makes the cut. By my limited grasp of history, 1982 did occur before 1983. I'd have to say it ducks under the wire. Phew! That was a close one and this is a ridiculous thread.

Look at the quote again. . . . . ". . .up to about 1983." Many people like to interpret this to mean until '86. Maybe I like to interpret earlier, which if I use the usual 3 years in the other direction it would be 1980.
